Senior Pastor, Visionary, Business Proprietor, Strategic Team Builder, and Founder of Pathway$ Financial Literacy Program
Derrick Raines goals in life are to be an honorable Man of God, a great Husband, and a great Father. He believes if he accomplishes those three things, he would be completely satisfied and content with his life. Additionally, he has accepted callings in his life that he says supplements his main three goals.
He is the Senior Pastor of EXCEL Church, located in Jacksonville, Florida. Serving alongside him is his lovely wife and fellow Senior Pastor, Zelphia Raines. They have been devoted to each other in marriage for over 20 years. Pastor Derrick has two young adult children, a son and a daughter, Marvionté and Zahria, who actively serves alongside them in ministry.
Pastor Derrick Raines earned his Bachelors of Arts Degree in 1993 from Catawba College in North Carolina. Henceforth, he has become an influential Bible teacher, visionary leader, a successful business proprietor and a strategic team builder. He believes in being a servant leader. He believes the greatest among us are servants and for years have demonstrated how each believer can successfully serve God, family, and their community. He truly believes in the authentic advancement of others in the spiritual and in the natural.
His mission for EXCEL Church is to help people win in life following the vision – “God’s people Excelling in God and Excelling in Life”. His heart is to see the lives of people advance through the Word of God and he purposes to create an environment conducive for Christ to become the Final Authority in the lives of people. He has a passion for developing people to embrace victory in every area of their lives.
Pastors Derrick also has an insatiable passion for people to have Financial Dominion in their lives. Him and his wife Zelphia, are founders of Pathway$, a Financial Literacy program. Pathway$ is a program that teaches people how to gain dominion over their personal and business finances. Thousands of people have “broken the ceiling” financially, living out the Will of God for them to prosper following the intricate system of Pathway$.
Pastors Derrick and Zelphia teaches individuals how to understand and apply spiritual and natural principles in a way that positions them to experience financial progress in both the short term and long term. They encourage, give information, and provide accountability to common people so that they can prosper financially without gimmicks. Pathway$ is a precise and strategic program that has and will continue to have common people experience uncommon results.
They prayerfully accept speaking engagements and offer Pathway$ workshops all over the world.
Along with finances, Pastor Derrick feels God has called him to bring the light of the Gospel particularly in the areas of relationships, finances, leadership training, and discipleship to the body of Christ both near and far. He believes in being transparent and relatable as it pertains to living an everyday life as a Christian when he shares God’s Word. He is vulnerable and open about his personal life and how God has delivered him to aid in the deliverance of those who listen to him.
